We just booked our trip to Vegas in August and had a couple questions...
Texas Hold%26#39;em tables, do they offer this at most casino%26#39;s?
We%26#39;re staying at the Tropicana. If so, do they get pretty busy and have waiting lists? Do they offer smaller blind tables like $2-5, limit?
We%26#39;re not high rollers and just want to enjoy a few hours of texas hold%26#39;em and not go overboard.
Also, my g/f wants to do one night at a club with music/DJ etc...
which club is best that is fairly decent price?
Do they have expensive cover charges?
First visit to Vegas, few questions...
Most casions, including the Trop, have poker rooms dealing Texas HE. All have waiting lists. The Trop%26#39;s room is one of the least crowded, you are unlikely to have to wait long if at all. They have low limit tables.

You%26#39;re doing great for researching your trip here, but once you get to Vegas- you%26#39;re gonna be OFF! You%26#39;ll jump place to place, see tables you%26#39;ll like, get a ';vibe'; from places you want to go, and you will learn as you go. Nightclubs (with dancing and all) have hefty covers unless you find someone with passes (they%26#39;re all over Vegas, just keep your eyes open). Depending on what you two are into, they have it! Read some reviews and take notes, and when you get to Vegas, go with what feels right! Have fun!
Cover Charges vary per club anywhere from free to $50 or better depending what you looking for.
Here%26#39;s a website that has tons of info on all Vegas clubs including VIP table reservation vegas.napkinnights.com
A good option for you is possibly Studio 54 in MGM. I love this place. It is a typical Vegas night club - great music a little extra here and there. Certain nights ladies are free but cover is $10/ ladies $20 men. It is always a great time and we always hit this place up everytime. We are in our late 20%26#39;s early 30%26#39;s
As mentioned, not all casinos have poker rooms. Unfortunately, poker is very popular right now and no matter where you go, there will probably be a wait, unless you perhaps go early in the morning.
www.allvegaspoker.com has more information than you need on tables, games and tournaments being offered in the Las Vegas poker rooms.
Excalibur has a nice poker room and last time I was there they had 1-3 limit texas hold%26#39;em there. I loved that table. A lot of new people that don%26#39;t know every much or how to play at the table, made a lot of money :) They also had a $100 buy in no-limit table there. Good Luck!
Your best resource is a company called 202 Concierge. They specialize in all things ';Sin City';, including night life. Toby was an afficianado on club culture, and got us into 3 clubs, with no long line, or paying 40.00 per person at the door. On line services are pricey, and most don%26#39;t deliver. These guys got us in , and guided us in smoothly. Their # is (702) 604-4596, or email them at spike@202concierge.com . Have a great time!!
At the trop try to upgrade to a tower if you have not already done so.
