How dressy is ';the Mix';?

Thanks.

How dressy is ';the Mix';?

Tux%26#39;s and gowns only! I was there last week

I had to put on one of those rental bow ties to get in.

Review: Mix Lounge, located on the 64th floor atop THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, offers guests stunning 360-degree views of the Strip and the Vegas valley from its floor-to-ceiling windows.

The view is so great that the builders made sure it could seen from everywhere in the club -- even from the restrooms, which are some of the most unusual in town. Individual stalls have their own floor-to-ceiling windows as well.

The intimate 298-capacity lounge features wall-to-wall black leather d茅cor with red lighting. The place to be, however, is outside on the balcony. Low lounges and tables allow guests to sit back, relax and take in an amazing view of the Strip. You%26#39;ll actually be looking down at the Luxor light next door.

If you want to enjoy the night air, get there early. The outdoor lounges on the patio are reserved for bottle service patrons after 10:30 p.m., although a small area still is available for standing outside.

Also facing the Strip are indoor tables, which also are available to bottle service customers only. Unlike many other clubs in town, Mix offers a few places to sit for those who are not indulging in bottle service, including a small, circular bar tucked in one of the corners. Black leather ottomans along the back side of the room provide a comfortable place to lean while gazing out the windows.

For the VIPs, a stairway leads to a private, hidden area located above the larger main bar.

Mix serves a light food menu until 11 p.m., and drinks average $10-$12. If you%26#39;re looking for a more substantial meal, the lounge is located adjacent to Mix restaurant, a 70-table restaurant featuring a $500,000, 13,000-glass bulb chandelier.

common designer jeans and button down shirts for guys or cute tops for girls. You will see things more dresser.

I wanted to see what the buzz was about ... but both me and my boyfriend are not high rollers and do not own silver spoons so we were hesitant. After a Cake concert at the HOB on Saturday we hesitantly went up to ';take a look'; ... no cover, very relaxed atmosphere, and a TREMENDOUSLY PHENOMENAL view. I thought tab les were reserved after reading a few reviews, but I got a $15 mixed drink from their menu and my boyfriend ordered some Jamison ... and we sat at one of the little tables no problem and totally let ourselves be indulged. We were both dressed pretty casually. I felt a bit colorful though with blue pants and a red top. Most everybody was wearing black ...

You definately can%26#39;t wear tshirts or shorts.

Some men wear suits, but they look a little over dressed. It%26#39;s more common to wear nice jeans and a button down shirt -- perhaps a jacket.

Great place. Great view. Great atmosphere.

something went WAY wrong in this world when ';dress jeans'; were made a category. I stick with good ol%26#39; Levi%26#39;s 501, Baby! None of that ';buy it already looking brown and filthy'; nonsense.

Wanting to get a 2007 update to this :)

Is the Mix Lounge still a ';nice jeans and button up'; type of place for men? (obviously women can wear just about anything, anywhere...)

Wanting to go on a Saturday night and see the sunset (8pm-ish); will there be non-bottle-service tables available around 7pm when we get there? I know after 10pm is when they charge cover but there will be 2 of us and I%26#39;d love to be able to sit outdoors or indoors by the windows to see the sunset at 8.

Just a slight nudge... :)

Anyone been there on a early Saturday evening lately?

Just to disagree with an above post, I had no problem wearing jeans and a t-shirt to mix. As with anywhere in Vegas, they care about your wallet, not your clothes.

Thanks for the heads up. I could see needing to dress up more for a lte dinner in the restaurant, but just to go up to the lounge around 7pm - I would hope they weren%26#39;t manning the door checking for attire.
