I%26#39;ll be visiting Vegas this Aug to get married and will be spending 4 nights in the Bellagio Suite and would like to get a lakeview room which I know they charge extra for, but was wondering how I should go about asking for the upgraded view for free. Should I call them ahead of time and just ask or wait until check-in and hope one is available? For people that have asked for the lakeview room, what are the odds of getting one without having to pay extra?
I%26#39;ve also read some prior posts about staying in the Bellagio suites and noticed people mentioning that they received ';jump the line'; passes, did you have to ask for those or do they automatically give them to you at check-in?
Thanks
Bellagio suite questions
Since upgrades are based on availability more than anything your chances of getting upgraded to a view suite aren%26#39;t that good since there are less suites than there are standard rooms and therefore way less view suites. If you really want a Bellagio suite with a view you need to reserve it, they tend to sell out quickly.
Bellagio suite questions
swales: all suites get a line pass. 100% way to get an upgrade: pay for it. If the hotel is slow, which is rare, they might upgrade you. Ditto for your wedding. 4 nites is alot, especially if there is a weekend involved. Pay for it. It%26#39;s worth it to see the fountains and your soon to be wife will also love them. Congratulations.
I have a Bellagio Suite reserved, and when I called back a couple weeks later, they stated the only views available for my time period were partial views (ie from the new tower) and it would be $50 a night. I actually called back another time to request a specific tower, and was again told that a view would be $50 extra. So, 2 people on the phone were obviously not going to be upgrading me for free. I plan on getting there in the morning to try and check in, hopefully finding a friendly desk clerk, and just politely asking if a complimentary upgrade is available. To me, it%26#39;s not worth $50 a night for a lake view, but I%26#39;ll take one if it%26#39;s free!
You mean the front of the line passes for Light at Bellagio? I believe when we went on a Thursday they were handing them out for free all over the hotel. Fri/Sat might be different, but I am sure if you are a guest they could get you some for free.
We%26#39;re going for our anniversary, and used the promo code which was only applicable to the last two nights we are staying. We were automatically upgraded to lakeview for those two nights. However, I had to pay the $50 for the lakeview for the first night (and also to ensure that we get to remain in the same room for all 3 nights.) Paying the $50 seems to be the only way to guarantee it.
Congrats on your upcoming marriage!
Line passes for buffet and cafe Bellagio are given to all guests in suites.
I was told that the free upgrade using the promo code did not apply to the suites. And it was also closed a week after the promo began due to so many people requesting the free upgrade (so I was told on the phone).
Thanks for all the answers and well wishes on my wedding.
I guess I%26#39;ll give them a call and see what they say, and if I don%26#39;t get one for free I%26#39;ll spend the extra for one.
We also booked a Bellagio Suite for 3 nights in July. We aren%26#39;t prepared to pay for the upgrade, and when we asked about the Lakeview, they ONLY offered Partial views too. I would never pay $50/night for a partial view.
We stayed in a suite last summer, Sun-Thurs, and we couldn%26#39;t get a lakeview (for free!). The pool/mountain view is nice too though. The lakeview suites were ';all booked';, and this was at 4:00 in the afternoon. We too thought that maybe be checking in earlier, we might have a chance for a lakeview, but I somehow don%26#39;t think that will happen. I would prefer a suite in the main tower, than a partial view suite in the spa tower IMO.
We had to ask for the VIP line passes, which we used (and loved!). I don%26#39;t know if the guy at the desk would have offered us one without asking. So be sure to ask!
