Table Game Lessons

Does anybody know if any of the casinos have lessons for table games for beginners.

I would like to at least understand why I have lost all my money !

Yes, most of the casinos have beginner lessons for BJ, craps and roulette. These are generally held in the morning when it is less crowded. You should ask someone in the casino about the details for their lessons.

What games do you want to play .?

There are a lot of internet sites with free game and ';coaching '; facilities which will tell you if you are making mistakes.

wizardofodds.com is one that springs to mind,but ther are countless others.

For blackjack the important rule is to play basic strategy properly.

You can downoad a card on the above mentioned site or buy one in the hotel gift shop.

I am sure other posters will give you links to other sites.

Once you have practised enough to know what to do in 90% of cases other players or dealer will help you out.

Put table etiquette in the search box (top left) for guidelines regarding buying in,tipping,restroom breaks etc..

Firsttimer, thanks for that link, it%26#39;s really good. I%26#39;ve only played BJ a few times in the UK and don%26#39;t think I would have the confidence to play it in Vegas, I might give it a go now!

Approach a suitable table in your house.

Throw a hundred Euros or convenient cash amount on the table.

Stand there and drink a beer while someone blows cigarette smoke on you.

Your wife takes the money and you never see it again.

Thats a close approximation.

All the casinos do. Just take a walk thru out the casinos during the early part of theday. They have signs on the table telling you the times to show up.

RUSure - I am staying at the Luxor, but being a first timer I intend to wander up and down the strip and go into as many as possible. I realise that this covers quite a distance but over a few days I hope to manage to get to a number of different casinos.

I may as well spread my money around to as many casinos as possible !

When I stayed at the Venetian, they gave a craps lesson in the morning. About 7 of us watched as the instructor showed us how to play the game.

Ask at the Luxor, and I%26#39;m sure they can tell you where to go for lessons.

The Monte Carlo has crap lessons in the mornings. Go to their website or send them an e-mail and someone can tell you what time and what games they teach.
