TR @TI May 5th-10th

Day 2- Wanted to sleep late but for some reason, we were awake at 6:00am. Left the room around 8:30am and headed to the ';Coffee Shop'; for breakfast. No lines, we were seated right away. Had the french toast tower. A stack of french toast with blueberries, strawberries and bananas on the side. It was very good.

Charged it to my room so at the end of the trip, I would see what the hotel would comp.

Left the hotel to get our tickets for Gordie Brown. We walked over to the Fashion Mall(this is where tix4tonight is located). Got there but we were early. It does not open up till 11:00am. We walked over to the Wynn. Got my players card along with some free credits. Once again, we went to the bar and played some VP and had a few cocktails. Bartenders were very friendly and talkative. Left the bar after loosing what I won the previous day. Oh well.....when in Vegas.....

Went back to Tix4tonite and stood in line. Took about 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. Got 2 vouchers for that night to see Gordie Brown. Tickets were basically 2 for 1. Great deal.

After we got our tickets, we went back to TI and went to the bar and played more VP. Drank a few more cocktails and won a few more dollars. Wife on the other hand ,lost a few dollars. Tried to bring up conversation to the bartender but he was having none of that. Wife turned to me said that the bartenders here(TI) are not friendly. I agreed and said that it %26#39;s not that they are rude because they are not, it %26#39;s that they are not friendly. She agreed. We got up and left to go get our tickets at the Venetian.

Walked over to the Venetian. Got out players card along with a few free credits to play the slots. Went to the bar in the middle of the casino(my wifes favorite place to sit and have a few drinks) to play some VP. Bartender (John) came right over and introduced himself and asked what we were drinking. We odered two drinks and he left and was back minute 2 minutes with our drinks. I went to pay and he said if I put money into the machine he would comp the drinks along with any other drinks we may have.

In my opinion, this is how bartenders in Vegas should act. Not telling me that ';you need to put $20 in the machine before I comp your drinks';.

We played VP for awhile and drank a few. Gave John a nice tip and left to get our tickets for the show that night. Went back to TI and took a nap.

Woke up and had dinner at Kahunaville. Used our 20% off dinner coupon. The dinner was really good. I had a burger and fries. Nice fun restaurant to go to and have a quick meal. Food is real good. Waittress was real nice and friendly.

Left there and went over to the Venetian to see Gordie Brown. I was really surprised on how good the show was. The guy is extremely talented. His impersonation of our beloved President George Bush is the funniest thing I ever seen. I was in stiches for the entire show. If you are in Vegas, you must take in the show. You won%26#39;t be disappointed. After the show the wife stood in line to meet Gordie and have her picture taken with him. I met him and seems like a down to earth type of guy.

Walked back to TI and yes......played VP at the bar. Won a few more dollars. This time I did not eben bother talking to the bartender. He was to busy talking to the other bartender. We were getting tired, so we called it a night and cash out.----Day 3 to follow.

Glad the Venetian treated you well, and the bartender was friendly. The middle bar is where my fav waitress gets her drinks.

Also glad you enjoyed Gordie Brown. I%26#39;ve heard many glowing reviews of him on this forum.

Whappin%26#39; you for going back and sitting down at the VP bar at TI, where they aren%26#39;t friendly. They didn%26#39;t deserve your money!

Looking forward to day 3.....

I love TI; actually got married there three years ago. For some reason I never seem to win there. I%26#39;m glad to hear that you had some luck (or knew when to get up).

Had the same experience at the TI bar with the tender saying you need to put in a $20 and play max credits to get comped drinks. Seems to be their common line. I did get the comped drinks but the bartenders where not too friendly.

We also went to Gordie%26#39;s show and thought he was great. His GW Bush and ';America'; was a riot.
