Hi

Can anyone recommend a good tour for the Grand Canyon by air?

I am after the best time at the canyon possible , so something thats not a 2 mins ride over the canyon......... anybode recommedn a company

Looking for two people in mid july......... are all helicoptors air conditioned?

UK brochures tend to use only two companies ie Papillon and Heli-USA.

I talked to the concierge at the Paris, and she found me several companies including one that was half the price of the others (cannot remember the name of the company though).

The two they recommended was Maverick and Sundance. I chose Sundance. It was a limo pick up, heli flight to the Grand Canyon, a half hour landing with a light lunch and the return trip.

I was tempted by the half price option but as we were on an anniversary trip, I stumped up extra, just in case the cheaper company turned out to be really bad.

We went in July. It was 100+ at the Grand Canyon. The chopper did have air con.

You can get trips which includes a heli tour and a river trip, or heli tour and ranching.

We met someone from the UK who did the ranch combo trip. They did not think much of it.
