Mgm Grand

Quick question, I found a promo code for MGM, however the link says it is for players only. Someone suggested signing up for the room and getting the card on line, then picking up a card before I check into the hotel. Has anyone ever done this before, and how did it work? I have reservations there now, but this would save another $150!

Thanks for the help, three weeks and counting!!

Lots of people do that, and said to just get the card before you check in. Many of them said they were never even asked for the card. Now at Planet Hollywood (formerly Aladdin) they did ask me, but others have said they were not asked. So sign up for their card while your there in case you ever get a promo from them you will not have to worry about it. Have fun, win big.......

Don%26#39;t check in at the airport. Go there and get your card BEFORE you check in. Then check in.

I always book through the players club. Just call them directly and they take all the information. I have never had to show my players card as i give it over the phone when I book. If you are getting a special rate or comps from the players card you will have to show some ID when checking in as they are non-transferrable.

I did that and had no problems. They didn%26#39;t ask for the card either.

Yep, we did this too. Previous poster is right, don%26#39;t check in at the airport on the outside chance they do ask for your card. Go to the casino, get your card, then go check in. We%26#39;ve booked under the player%26#39;s club rates a multiple times and have only once been asked for our card.

Will they ';check'; my players card to notice that I haven%26#39;t even used it yet? I guess that%26#39;s my concern, on how they will know that I received the offer.

Thanks again for everyone%26#39;s help!

I don%26#39;t know if they check it or not but I didnt use mine and I had no problems.

I have reservations at the MGM and thought to get the card before I check in as well. My concern is that what if by chance they won%26#39;t accept it because it hasn%26#39;t been used. Then I won%26#39;t have the reservations for the currant rate they gave me ($89).I%26#39;m traveling with my two daughters so I don%26#39;t want to risk not getting the room. I think I might sign up for the players card and then ask if they will give me the rate when I check in. Can%26#39;t hurt to ask.

Sunlady...I would not do that. I had no problems neither did many other people. Just book get the card before checking in and enjoy!

Suntanlady - had the same experience as Liz (April 2005), used a promo code from this forum for MGM @ $89 a night, didn%26#39;t have a player card. Got my player card when I checked in. No problems.
