Cheap golf?

I%26#39;m thinking about bringing my clubs for a few rounds. Do any courses offer green fees less than $40? The 4 or 5 I looked at online were all over $100.

When is considered peak season for golf in Vegas?

Where I%26#39;m from, when the temperature gets over 32C (90F) most people stay home. I see they are forecasting 36C (97F) this week. Do people still play in these temperatures? Don%26#39;t get me wrong, I%26#39;ll play in 50C weather, just wondering how busy the courses will be.

Don%26#39;t take this wrong, but you are dreaming or smoking some very good stuff.

Peak season is right now till the Tuesday after Memorial Day when rates drop significantly, but still at $100 or more. During Summer months after 1 or 2 pm you can get rates at $100 or less for decennt courses, but that does not include ER or ambukance cost.

If you want cheap golf there is a place called Desert Rose out on Boulder Hwy. It is a flood control pond with 18 sticks in it.

Here is a good site with rate schedules and descriptions.

50C is 122 degrees farenheit, what course in Dubai are you playing?

Craig Ranch in North Las Vegas advertises $19 green fees. It is not a beautiful course, but if all you want to do is swing your sticks....

702/642-9700 is their number for more information.

Yeah, I guess I%26#39;m lucky to live in a town where supply outweighs demand. We%26#39;ve got a Rees Jones course that goes for $75 and the nicest course in Moncton is $55.

When it comes to golf, I prefer quantity over quality. I was debating between bringing my clubs and playing a cheap course 3 or 4 times or if the green fees are pricey I would just rent a set and play one time. I guess even at $40 or $50 green fees, I%26#39;ll still have to pay for a taxi, power cart and $100 in water per round.

Any courses close to Treasure Island? How busy are courses in the afternoon usually? I usually prefer to play by myself, hopefully in under 3 hours.

Roy I understand, but here is the deal. How often do you come to LV? Do you really want to come to a golf meca and play dumps. Trust me Desert Rose and Craig Ranch are dumps.

To complicate matters any course near the strip will be high dollar with one exception of LV National another dump of about $110 mornings, less in the afternoons.

How busy are courses in the afternoon you ask?

Depends on when you are coming out, what day of the week, and what time of the day. In the Summer weekday afternoons they are deserted, hence the chaep green fees.

My advice. Bite the bullet, rent a car it is much cheaper than a taxi, and spend a hundred for a quality course. Being a single don%26#39;t bother with a tee-time, no one will take a tee-time for a single. Just show up and walk-on.

For an inexpensive course try Tuscany in Henderson. It is decent.

Otherwise try something you will never get a chance to play in NB like Badlands, or the best in Mesquite at Wolfcreek for about $200

if you had a rental car boulder creek in boulder city would set you back 50-60 bucks weekdays(after 3pm) 27 holes decent course i love it when it gets hot you have the course all to yourself and the prices are much better

Do it right. Rent a car and play somewhere nice...Wolf Creek, Paiute, Lake LV.....

just drove by the falls at lake las vegas and it was EMPTY tells you how much they overcharge!

Lake LV is overpriced. But you get what you overpay for. Falls has perfect fairways and great greens. R Bay is a much better course though. Play $50 dog tracks and you may as well stay home...

well i disagree as boulder creek is far from a dog track as for the falls the course looked in perfect shape i just never see anyone on it

Closest best deals in my opinion are:

Boulder Creek

Black Mountain

Silverstone

All require a rental car. Twilight runs you under $100 a round.

A little further out, I would highly recommend Falcon Ridge and Wolf Creek in Mesquite.

Falcon Ridge, around $66 twilight, sometimes better last minute

Wolf Creek , around $185, about $120 twilight (tough to finish in time, don%26#39;t recommend twilight)
