How to get to the Bellagio and which tower to request

Hi! I%26#39;m traveling to Vegas on Tuesday for three nights and can%26#39;t wait! We%26#39;re staying at the Bellagio, but I have a couple of quick questions:

1) We%26#39;ll be taking a cab from the airport to the hotel. I%26#39;ve seen various posts on here about telling the cab driver to not take the tunnel, but should I still tell him not to take it if we%26#39;re going to the Bellagio? Or is there a quicker way?

2) We%26#39;ve booked a deluxe non-lakeview room. I know this is isn%26#39;t the fountain view that everyone raves about, but I%26#39;m just so excited to be staying at the Bellagio that I don%26#39;t really care. My question is, is it worth requesting that our room be in the spa tower? We%26#39;ll be spending all of our days at the pool, so is the spa tower a closer walk to the pool or would it be more worth it to be in the main tower?

Thanks!

1) Taxi is the way to go. Do not take tunnel for Bellagio. Cab ride should be about $15 + tip. (Don%26#39;t be freaked out about the tunnel. I have taken cab rides from the airport about a dozen times. Never once have I seen the tunnel, never once did I have to tell cabbie not to take it.)

2) It%26#39;s a toss up. The non-lakeview room you booked could be in either tower. Both towers are good. Spa tower is newer and rooms have less wear. Main tower is close and convenient to pool entrance. (I am not sure if Spa tower has separate pool entrance.) Main tower is a little less walking to the neighboring properties.

:: Bellagio hotel please,,,, via Tropicana ave.

If you%26#39;ve not stayed at Bellagio before, stay in the main tower, the Spa Tower might seem %26#39;way out there%26#39; to you, sort of like a step sister.location wise.

You could always ask politely for a complimentary upgrade to a lakeview room as you are so excited to be staying in the Bellagio.

We visited Vegas in April, had never experienced ';the tunnel'; and had the same attitude (it%26#39;s never been an issue, so why bother directing the cabbie) ... it adds approximabely five bucks to the fare (we will not leave anything to chance the next time). Oh, we stayed at Ceasar%26#39;s in April.

We have stayed twice in the Spa Tower and have booked it again for July for 10 nights. There is an elevator in the Spa Tower which takes you straight down to a separate entrance for the pool. The rooms are newer and the bathroom has two sinks!! If you decide on the Spa Tower ask for a partial lakeview. We prefer the Spa Tower because it is away fom the hum of the casino although it is a bit of a walk from the lobby. Exercise is always good for you they say!!!
