Non-Expensive show for kids/grandparents?

I%26#39;d love to take the 5/7 yo and grandparents to see O, but that is cost prohibitive. Any ideas for other shows that don%26#39;t cost so dang much?

Or, is there a secret to getting cheap show tickets that I don%26#39;t know of?

Non-Expensive show for kids/grandparents?

FREE circus acts at circus circus, or the FREE parade in the sky at Rio (Masquerade Parade). Other than that, there are very few shows that children of that age can go to other than the Cirque route, which is obviously not in the budget.

Vegas is not geared toward the little ones, I must say...

Non-Expensive show for kids/grandparents?

There is a perfect show for you:

Mac King Magic Comedy show at Harrah%26#39;s. In the carnival court (I believe) which is just outside the entrance to Harrah%26#39;s you can pick up half-price coupons, and there are two afternoon shows, I believe at 1 or 2 and then at 3 or 4. It is entirely kid friendly, some jokes have very subtle ';adult'; double-meanings to keep you chuckling along also (nothing TOO ';adult';, but just stuff the kids won%26#39;t catch).

I believe with the half-off it%26#39;s only about 10 or 12 bucks, and that includes a drink. They serve up soda and ';virgin'; cocktails for the kids and anyone else who doesn%26#39;t want to drink, or you can have an alcoholic beverage.

The magic is pretty good, very light stuff though, nothing like Lance Burton or anything like that. The jokes are funny, again they are geared towards kids and families.

You will ALL have a great time, I highly recommend this.

Another one to consider is Dirk Arthur%26#39;s XTreme Magic at the Trop, it is just elaborate magic, nothing the kids can%26#39;t see, but it%26#39;s not geared towards kids like Mac King is. Still family-oriented though.

Have fun!!! I went alone to Mac King and enjoyed it, even as an adult.

No discounts on tickets to O. In my opinion, the 5 year old is too young for O. S/he may be interested at first but I think it would be a waste of money. The 7 year old might be ok. There may actually be an age minimum for that show.

Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre is pretty good for small children. I%26#39;m not an animal fan, but people I know who are thought it was good for the money. It%26#39;s definitely aimed for kids.

Or if you want to see a Cirque show you could check Mystere. The prices are far lower than ';O,'; and they have specials quite often.

That%26#39;s Mac King%26#39;s website - if you go to it you%26#39;ll see it%26#39;s kid-oriented. It%26#39;s a great way for kids and parents/grandparents to see a REAL ';Vegas Show'; together.

As I said you can get half-price tickets in Harrah%26#39;s carnival court. Also, you can try ';tix4tonite'; booths, there are several throughout Vegas, they offer discounted (usually half-price) show tickets for all shows in Vegas. The catch is that you have to go the same day. Go in the morning, wait on line at tix4tonite and pick from what%26#39;s available, so if a a show is booked up you won%26#39;t get to see it this way. Usually, shows like Mac King and the less uppity shows have room though.

And don%26#39;t take your kids to see ';O'; or any other ';grown-up'; show, it%26#39;s like taking your kids out for a gourmet dinner and blowing $100 on each of them when they would have preferred McDonald%26#39;s. Take them to Mac King or something similar, something less expensive.

Have fun!

';Vegas is not geared toward the little ones, I must say...';

Oh I know ;) We have been many times, this time is for our renewal with Elvis and we are bringing the whole family for the event.

I saw Mystere, gosh, *years* ago. Pre-kids I think?!

Mac King sounds great, thanks for the advice everyone!

My kid/stepkid came out for our wedding, so I am not anti-kids, as I know sometimes it just needs to be... We put the kids at the pool a bunch and sightseeing/luxor rides/NYNY Rollercoaster were ways we kept them occupied. I forgot about Mac King.. I second that reccomendation for both extremes of aging! :-)

Another show to consider is the Tournament of Kings dinner show at the Excalibur. The tickets are around $55 each, but do include dinner. It%26#39;s a jousting tournament / comedy show where you cheer for your ';country';s knight. I have never seen these tickets at the Tix4Tonight booths, so you%26#39;ll probably have to pay full price, but it%26#39;s a lot of fun for both adults and kids.

Here is the link: excalibur.com/entertainment/tournament_of_ki鈥?/a>

KIDS would not comprehend %26gt;%26gt;%26gt; O %26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;.

Take them too see the MGM lions, The animals at Mirage, the dolphins, Circus-Circus, Hooters.

Mac King.

Look for discounted tickets.
