TR 05-05 thru 05-12--Paris and Caesar's Palace: Day Two

Day two:

Got up early and went to Ellis Island for breakfast. We aren%26#39;t much for paying alot for meals so our meals are just plain good cheap food. We all got the steak and eggs special. Don%26#39;t know if it is on special all the time but was written on the slate as you go into the restaurant. Was $3.49 for steak, 2 eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. We also ordered an order of Vanilla French Toast to share. It was a great meal for the money. I think about $15 total for all four of us. Peggy and I had $5 credit for opening up a Slot Club account and we both used that. Really cheap and good. Luke and Scott opened up a new account so next trip they would have money and when we asked about any other offers we were told if we would give them our e-mail address we could get $5 more. Eureka!! At last I feel like I am at least gaining something.

Caesar%26#39;s Palace: Today Scott and I moved to Caesar%26#39;s. I had an offer for 2 nights in the Augustus Tower. Also I got a free pair of Maui Jim Sunglasses. The room was fantastic. Bathroom was big with a separate shower and jacuzzi tub. Nice TV over the sinks. Yes two sinks. Was really nice. Huge room with a king bed, couch and two chairs, desk and a view of the Bellagio fountains. Couldn%26#39;t wait for the shows. Ended up being disappointed with the fountains. We couldn%26#39;t hear the music and I think that is what makes it. We enjoyed them but something was missing.

We decided to go to the Venetian and use my $15 free slot play. At least if I am giving them money it won%26#39;t be mine. Scott only got $10 because our printer wasn%26#39;t working and he forgot. Peggy went to another clerk and told her their printer wasn%26#39;t working and she gave both of them $15 credit. Oh well just Peggy%26#39;s luck this trip. We took turns playing. Scott isn%26#39;t much of a gambler but decided to play a Red White and Blue $.25 machine. It took him about 10 minutes and his $10 was gone. Luke decided to play some Duces Wild. He played for about 1 hour and cashed out $25. My turn next. I decided since Luke had done so well I%26#39;d play my $15 on DW. Well my luck held out. About 25 minutes later I was busted. Peggy played hers on DW and cashed out $20 about 45 minutes later. We were establishing a pattern here. I was really getting pi$$ed.

The casino was really pretty and I enjoyed playing, what little bit was my play, here. If we ever decide to leave Harrah%26#39;s we may play here. Harrah%26#39;s has been really good to us so we won%26#39;t leave any time soon.

Off to Wynn. What a beautiful place. When we went in the door we smelled the scent that is in the air system. Very pleasant. Had new cards and decided to play the $10 free play and maybe more to get the 2 free buffets. Decided we would only put $20 of our money in and if we had enough points we would go for it. Once again Peggy and Luke both used their $10 and each one got enough points on their free play to get the buffets. I used mine and had to put $40 of my money in but did cash back $10 after 100 points. Scott only got 4 ponts on his before his $10 was gone. He says that is why he doesn%26#39;t gamble.

Off to the buffett. Really enjoyed the food. Crab Legs were to die for. Got some clam chowder (my favorite) and was really creamy with lots of clam strips in it. Got really full and decided to head back to room and crash. Scott by this time wasn%26#39;t feeling very good and we were worried he was catching the stomach bug he had had just two weeks ago. Oh no! Not in Vegas!

Day three to follow.

Man O man, I can%26#39;t believe your luck as opposed the other couple. It really $ucks inside when you continue to lose, while friends are winning. You try to be gracious, but inside it burns....

on to day 3....

Moving on.
