Day 2 - comfy shoes, check - wrong socks, check

Sleeping blissfully - MB beds are very comfortable. Curtains closed...but there%26#39;s this beeping sound around 8:30. Try to ignore, pillow over ears ( 2 pillows each - one to snug, one to hug) and I realize that it%26#39;s a cell phone. Nudge husband..';your cell phone'; get grunts for response.

Now I%26#39;m awake and head to bathroom for morning shower. Lovin has extended an invitation to the 31st floor for another meet up. Nice soap, nice bottles of extras. Come out and husband is yacking on his cell.

Background - both of us have high demand jobs. My vacation caused seizures in the head office when I announced I was not carrying my cell phone throughout the trip. When they asked if I was packing the lap top, again I laughed. Small mushroom cloud formed over Toronto....Husband owns business - I%26#39;m used to his %26#39;Spock%26#39; earpiece and the way he talks to air as he walks along.

Today was maddening - toe tapping, arm waving and get smiles and the index finger...mister you%26#39;re going get another digit waving at you soon if you don%26#39;t get off your phone.

Give up, order room service.

Socks, okay, I packed the shortie girl socks, the ones with pom poms. Refuse to go outside with bunny tails on so rip them off - bad mistake.

Left MC and wandered - no hassles with time shares or porn slappers yet.

Planet Hollywood - walked thru the %26#39;Miracle Mile%26#39; - rather husband dragged me away from and into the casino. Very contemporary, geared to the mid 20 - 40 crowd. Put a $5. in a front door machine - Wild Rose - and played for 1/2 hour. Watched security take down some scam artist while my machine giveth and taketh away.

Next came Paris, but I was having a few issues with one sock sliding down and my heel was rubbing - slowly wander in and sign up for card. Got makeup bag, book of discounts and a great smile. This was worth the visit, helpful staff, CW at your elbow and easy to relax. Played another $5. and had a blast in a %26#39;butterfly??%26#39; penny machine. Up and down and up - stop and cashed out at $37. Husband says time to move on.

Bellagio - what a beautiful place, calm and peaceful. Go to the conservatory and spend many moments gazing at the glass flowers, butterflies and gorgeous flowers.

Next,

Walk to Bill%26#39;s - sock issue going on and I%26#39;m sensing friction.

Bill%26#39;s - cleaner, smells better and happy staff. Throw a few bucks into machines but they are not talking back.

Husband says lunch time - back to MC. Cross back to Bellagio side and quasi limp back.

Lunch at Brew Pub - him%26#39;s has huge burger while I have sliders. Beer was cold - that%26#39;s all I%26#39;ll say - miss the micro brews. Food was okay, not as I remembered it the last time which made us come back. Upstairs to change and then down to pool for sun. Lazy

River was very busy, wave pool was busy but adult pool was quiet.

Husband says %26#39;how%26#39;s your foot%26#39; - me sucking away on very nice drink says%26#39; what foot%26#39; - he points to the blister eruping on my heel...whatever- I smile.

Change and head to NYNY to check out the dueling pianos - I really wanted to see this!!. Husband says lets stop at II Fornaio for a nibble - big mistake.

Seated, waitress starts to address our drink request. She is looking up and over our heads so we both look up and over trying to figure out what she%26#39;s looking at..hum. Order glass of wine each as we check out menu.

Select appie of tomato and cheese with 2 bowls of pasta. Appie arrives - I%26#39;m munching on the best bread ever and slide a tomato and cheese over to a side plate. Take one bite and then the pasta arrives. Servers don%26#39;t say anything but drop the bowls on the table and walk away. Waitress runs up and says sorry. Runs away. We both look down at bowls of pasta which probably would have been good 20 minutes ago but have solidified. Mine was luke warm and husband%26#39;s was cool. Pushed them away. Waitress runs back - finally got eye contact. Said no thanks and bring up the bill please. She presents bill for $17.95 for 2 glasses of wine and appie that wasn%26#39;t eaten. Says she%26#39;ll get the manager (honey you should have had the manager on site when the two bowls were put down before we could touch the appie). Husband drags me from NYNY..not seeing us in there in the near future.

MGM - Oh Lowrance I have been waiting for this moment. Walk across telling husband stories and adventures of TA. Stop and watch the sun go down and the neon come up. MGM Lion reflected gold and pink and blue. Happy moment. Wander in - know our way around - and drop a few dollars in a few machines. Get a few back and cash out. Walking over to Trop.

OK...Look down at Hooters, only the sign has only lite up HORS - we seem to be missing some meaningful other letters. What a laugh. Giggle our way into the Trop. Find some nickel machines and drop a few dollars in - get more dollars back and cash out.

Head back to MC for VP at the bar. Cashed out ahead at 2 am. and off to bed.

Another walkathon and dinner at Casa Di Amore coming up.

Day 2 - comfy shoes, check - wrong socks, check

O, I get it, appie is some form of slang for appetizer.

Day 2 - comfy shoes, check - wrong socks, check

RUsure - I also speak American if you need a Canadian/American interpreter. LOL

Glad I%26#39;m not the only dense one...I had to re-read a couple times before I figured out what appie was. Thought maybe she typo%26#39;d apple for a while! LOL

Hey 2b I%26#39;ve got some of those socks!

Thanks for sharing, sounds like a good time so far!

lol, first T/Y to the earlier posters for the translation!

I had to go back and review my pics for the Hooters sign, then realized the night time pics didn%26#39;t work because of my wonderful new camera.

Wish I could have extended my stay with just a chance to meet up and chat.

So sorry for Fornaio and lack of hot food or service.

VERY sorry for the sock blisters (or lack of)

Will wait for more, although I can see the foot going downhill....

I too thought you were eating apples and cheese...sounds good to me...I do not care for NY NY...casino or food places. Sounds like you had fun..sorry about the blister...ouch! Slotto

I feel your pain regarding sock deal.

I have been there when 1 sock for some reason keeps going down into my shoe. Drives me crazy.
