Please help. I have been comparing forthe last few days the different options to fly to the GC by helicopter and am now seriously confused. I have also looked at the search and seen other posts on this subject but a lot of them are sereval years old. We would like to travel to GC, and land at the deepest part of the Canyon and spens a little time there. It is difficult to work out how long you are actaully on the canyon floor for. Is the ranch tour best or the picnic and who should we go with? I see some travel back over the strip and some dont. Does anyone have recent experience of a tour that they thought fulfilled all their expectations? Tall order, i know but if you dont ask, and this is the place to ask. I see that a lot of trips are 3-4 hours but this include pick up and return.

We made the GC with heli in early April with Papillion. I recommend this company though I suggest to select the ride that arrives in the Mc Can airport in order to fly over the strip. Without being aware we booked the flight that departs and lands in Bolston, which is 45 miles far from LV.
With this tour you will get a very nice heli ride experience and less the GC experience. If you have more time I would suggest to try to spend more time in the Canyon and not just 30 minutes as we did.
But we had a wonderful time overall and did not regret the money we spend.
