Question for Ballys people

My husbands best friend is getting married in July at Paris. To save money they decided to nix the reception and just meet somewhere after the wedding (which is a noon on a Saturday.) The bride wanted me to get a Cabana at Wynn for everyone to hang out and relax but even though I%26#39;ve never had a Cabana before I%26#39;m pretty certain that non-Wynn guests aren%26#39;t allowed in the pool area even if you have a Cabana. So her other idea is to have everyone meet at the Indigo Lounge at Bally%26#39;s. For those of you familiar with Bally%26#39;s, how busy do you think the Indigo Lounge gets on Saturdays around 1pm? Would 20 or so people fit in there comfortably or do you think it would be filled up by then? I%26#39;ve only walked by at night and it was packed. She wants somewhere that people can drink and maybe dance (and she doesn%26#39;t want to pay to reserve it.)

Question for Ballys people

Bump for more help.

Just a few comments...

I%26#39;m sure you already know this but, a wedding should only happen once. Without reservations, any place might be too crowded for everyone on a Saturday. It%26#39;s the chance you take. Will everyone be disappointed if you go there and can%26#39;t squeeze in? Or can you hop around to other bars in hopes of lucking out and finding room?

Question for Ballys people

Lowrance, you said exactly what I%26#39;ve been thinking. I keep trying to explain to her that Saturday on a Vegas is not like Saturday anywhere over here (not that i would try going without a reservation anywhere, even in the slowest town in the country.) I%26#39;m so afraid that we will be standing around in formal attire wandering around trying to find somewhere to sit with a bride who is about to pass out from stress.

Sally, you might also warn her of the temp in July, if you guys are in formal wear, and you need to go outside to another location.

I was at Bally%26#39;s on a Saturday this past Dec. It was around 3:00 PM and no one was in Indigo Lounge, I don%26#39;t even know if it was open! Last May I stayed at Ballys and no one was ever in Indigo during the day. I know when the music begins in the evenings, it can get crowded. At 1:00 you%26#39;d be waiting around for a long time for music. It would fit 20 comfortably if the bar is open. The Tequila Bar is about the same size and maybe an option too. I think music starts in there earlier, but not dance music. Good luck, I hope it all works out!

Does Paris do cabanas,or was she expecting you to pay for the one at Wynn, not being difficult here but if she wanted a cabana at Wynn and yet she not want to pay to reserve something, not computing. Not my place to say but would you not tell her to just swallow it and pay up ,it is her wedding day after all.

Thanks my husband thinks he remembers the place looking closed during the day- that would be weird, sitting at a closed bar. And Lowrance I believe the one thing everyone is prepared for is the July Temps- we%26#39;re Texans and it%26#39;s actually more comfortable in Vegas to us than home (sad isn%26#39;t it?) I might have to think of something that I can do as a wedding gift. This is why I didn%26#39;t have a wedding, it%26#39;s such a pain....ugggghhhh! Hahaha.

Firsttimer, she was willing to pay for a half day at the Cabana which she said was $150 (we talked her out of the idea- 1pm in July, Cabana size, people being guests at different hotels, so many reasons....), I wonder if she was willing to pay that, if there is somewhere reservable with a similar price tag. Their original plan called for an open bar at the Rendezvous lounge at Paris which was an AWESOME idea IMO, but alas they canceled that because of cost...oh well.

So, basically she wants a party, but wants to spend less than $150 for it! Why not just go to the bar that%26#39;s in the casino at the Wynn to hang out and everyone just buy their own drinks, could do the same at Bellagio or any other casino. That won%26#39;t cost her a thing! Sorry, I just find what she wants to do to be very cheap and/or in bad taste.

Per teachrsue%26#39;s comments, I don%26#39;t recall seeing much of anything going on at Indigo Lounge until the evening. Always seemed dark and quiet as I walked by to and from pool. Better call to make sure it%26#39;s even open at that time.

At 1:00 pm on a July Saturday, you could probably get tables at Margaritaville at Flamingo or Toby Keith%26#39;s Bar and Grill at Harrahs where there will be music. You might even be able to reserve adjoining tables in advance; it%26#39;s worth a call and either place would be livelier than Indigo.

Either that, or walk over to O%26#39;Sheas and let the bar-dancing leprechaun pour shots of Jag for the happy bride and groom. Kick things off with class.

Let me get this straight. You are all going to Vegas for them to get married, pay for hotels, airfare and your meals (including THEIR wedding reception) Somebody help me out here. Am I missing something?
