money ???

Do you carry all your spending money with you or is it important for you to have a room with the safe in it? I have stayed at the Venetian, Paris, and the Aladdin, all which have safes. Last July I stayed at the Aladdin for $49 a night. I haven%26#39;t seen anything like that this year for my July 10 - 13 dates. I do have an offer from Bill%26#39;s gambling (formerly Barbary Coast) for $59 a night but they do not have an in room safe. The rate for Aladdin (Planet Hollywood) for the 3 days is $357. Any opinions on which Hotel I should book? Thanks

money ???

Bills is good rooms, over basically nothing. No pool, either.

A polar opposite of Aladdinin for glitz, decor, facilities

money ???

I wouldn%26#39;t carry all my money with me. If you can%26#39;t get a safe in the room, ask when you check in where you can secure valuables at the front desk. That way you have it safe, but you do have to go back to retrieve it when needed.

Haven%26#39;t done this before so I don%26#39;t remember exactly where it is, but they should offer it somewhere down at the front desk.

Bill%26#39;s has safe deposit boxes you can use. They might not be as convenient as in-room safes but that does not mean you will have to carry your money around with you.

I like Bill%26#39;s and I like their casino (and Big Elvis) but you are going in July. I have to assume a pool would be important at that time so I would choose PH-or some other hotel with a pool.

Thanks for the info. Pool is not important at all. Never go. I can swim here but I can%26#39;t gamble here:)

no matter if the room has a safe or not I always use the safety deposit box. available 24/7, secure and free. The in-room safes are not secure. yes, odds of having one broken into are almost nil - why take the chance?

any other opinions?

I only brought cash with me for our trip-kept it all in a FeD eX folder set a certain amount in envelopes for each day and left the folder in a safe deposit box, pulling each envelope for each day. I found it was easier this way, and completely secure.

Stay at Bill%26#39;s and bring traveler%26#39;s checks instead of cash.

Debit cards are great. You can still spend cash from your checking account without having to carry alot of cash with you, and then use them in any ATM to withdraw from your account when you need more $$.

I would NOT stay at Bills! I was there on 5/4/07 and checked in and checked out within minutes. I went to TI instead. The rooms just made me feel dirty (and not in a good way!). I would stay at Aladdin and use the safe. Also, Bills held $343 on my debit card, which is crazy! MGM only held $200. It did drop off and it wasn%26#39;t money that I needed for my trip, but that was only for 1 night, what do they charge for 3? I am NOT a fan of Bills.
