need bargain hotel in the heart of it all???

Without a little more information it%26#39;s hard to give specific advice. One person%26#39;s definition of %26#39;great hotel%26#39; or of %26#39;bargain%26#39; would be totally different to another%26#39;s. What%26#39;s your rough nightly budget and when are you looking to go to Vegas?

The hotels that best fits your needs is probably the Flamingo. Other options may be Monte Carlo and Bill%26#39;s (no pool). If you%26#39;re happy to lower your standards and pay lower rates then Imperial Palace could be ok for you.

Whatever you do, if you want to avoid higher rates then stay Sunday - Thursday nights. Fridays and Saturdays are MUCH more expensive. Also try and avoid busy convention times.

You%26#39;ll get all the info you need on this forum, but a good site for anything Vegas is:

great wed site!...cheers....

Only two bargain hotels that are Mid-Strip, Imperial Palace and Bill%26#39;s Gambling Hall.

Flamingo can be had a little cheaper if you have player%26#39;s card--total rewards will give you casino rate, about $15-$20 a night cheaper than their web site. Also if you stay at IP can walk next door after 4 and hang at the Flamingo--see you at the water slide!!

Bargain hotel in the heart of it all- My vote goes to the Imperial Palace- You cant beat the location.

S;-)

Want to save money?

1) Visit Vegas Sunday through Thursday. Weekend rates are murder.

2) If your dates are flexible, check rate calendars for several possible hotels. Rates can vary greatly from week to week, even day to day, depending on convention traffic and events. Rates can vary greatly among comparable hotels, also depending on convention traffic at any given property.

Mid-strip and south-strip properties (best locations) that have a pool and will be most affordable are (in order of preference): Ballys, Flamingo, Imperial Palace, Excalibur, Tropicana, and Hooters (slightly off-strip but close enough).

Bills doesn%26#39;t have a pool.

Casino Royale motel down the alley behind the casino.

its in the middle of the Strip.

Entertainment is available.

Now that Bills is part of Harrahs, guests can use the pool complex at Flamingo, on of the best.

I would also go for the Imperial Palace as the rates cannot be beaten for the excellent location.

Imperial Palace, or if you really want to get really bargain-based, Casino Royale.
