The rest of the trip report- part 4

Ok- so we all know how disappointed I was in not winning the tournament or the hat contest, but I got over it- time to move on and have fun with the rest of our stay-

I%26#39;ll just try to remember some of the other highlights- this was our 14th trip to Vegas and I think I sometimes get some of the details mixed up from a previous trip- (getting old I giess- haha)

Anyway- I played ALOT of different machines- they were not kind to me for the most part- whether it was nickels, pennies, quarters, or even the dollar machines I played I just couldn%26#39;t seem to do too much- I still had the voucher from my Coyote Moon win, but my other cash was dwindling -

Some of the payouts I did manage to get were:: nickel WOF -got the 1000 on the bonus round, so hit for $100- various wins on the Monopoly Grand Hotel- most between $40 and $100- at one point put in a twenty and cashed out up $90 a few minutes later- my Coyote machine tried very hard to get back some of the payout but I walked away- one machine I accidently put a whole big dollar into- though it was a 10 when I pulled it out of my wallet- figured it was a ';sign';- first spin with it and I hit for $39 -it was an Aztec temple machine-took my money and ran-LOL- using my freeplay money I played a Slotsky machine and cashed out double my 25 free play-

Various other amounts-but nothing huge and overall I came home with less than I went with-

Played a little at the Bellagio-lost, visited the new Planet Hollywood and found a Denver Duck machine- put in a 20 and cashed out $70 after one bonus round- lost $40 at Bally%26#39;s-

Aside from the playing, we did do a little shopping. I found a new perfume I liked and had to have. DH ALMOST found yet another new car he just had to have-

We actually made it out to valley of Fire on Sunday- beautiful and worth the trip.

Had a lot of good meals- I never ordered shrimp cocktail so many times during one vacation- delicious!

Before I knew it Sunday night came- our last night..... I had plans on meeting 2b and her husband at midnight at the casino bar in MC-not far from a bank of Monopoly Big Event machines- kept an eye out for them while I repeatedly dropped money into the machines-ARGHH- I finally recouped some of it on a big event payout- still down about $60 from it but betterthan it was-

Midnight came and went -at 1 I went and played some other machines- decided at 2 to just have one more look around back by the bar area- the bar had closed but I found them playing a machine near it- I knew it was them immediately! it seems there flight was delayed and by the time they got to the MC and into a room it was pretty late-

Anyway- we talked for awhile- what a great couple- of course they ';talk'; funny- LOL- as I%26#39;m sure they thought I did- my husband had already gone up to the room so he didn%26#39;t get to meet them, but I really enjoyed the meet. Too bad it was our last night and their fist!

I went up about 3 I guess and back up at 6:30- sorry I just don%26#39;t sleep in Vegas! DH took just one more trip out to Carroll Shelby%26#39;s while I packed up- he got back, we had a bite to eat, walked over to the conservatory at the Bellagio and then came back to the room. We

We left for the airport at 12:30- the car return was super fast- no waiting for the bus to the airport either- we had section A boarding passes- the concierge printed them up for us -

Flight home also uneventful- arrived on Long Island and home by midnight local time-

All in all a wonderful trip- of course we didn%26#39;t have enough time to do everything I hoped- but that%26#39;s what makes another trip to look forward to so good-

FYI- our total hotel bill for the 5 nights with meals came to $80- one meal in a non-comped restaurant-- the tips were paid cash for all meals so $80 was it!! Not too bad!!

I can%26#39;t wait to go back! Jan

The rest of the trip report- part 4

You know, we really should have set up better ways to meet people. Everyone seems to miss everyone. If you don%26#39;t want to give up cell phones, maaybe make a couple of different meeting points and times.

I know I spent hours waiting by the Rain forest Cafe, waiting for that one moment when I see you come through those doors over from NYNY. I shopped nearby. I stayed by the Lions for hours....hoping for a glimpse of you (Quick for the love of god, someone tell me what she looks like!)

=)

Loveland and Teachrsue...if I book for the M%26amp;G on June 12th.... you already KNOW what I look like.,....very hard to miss....

I loved your TR....sorry you didn%26#39;t win the hat contest, but it sounds like it was a great hat!

Yeah for Slotsky doubling your free play...I love that machine!

Jan, I finally got a chance to read all 4 parts of your report. Too bad about your tourney. The Silver Slipper in Mississippi is running a free daily tournament and I%26#39;ve tried it a couple of times. On one occasion, I didn%26#39;t even make 300 points. Very frustrating.

As far as the hat contest goes, it sounds to me like some contestants tried the $20 trick on the judges. It sounds like it was all a lot of fun, even though you didn%26#39;t win.

I am so chomping at the bit (keeping to a derby theme) to schedule my next trip. SWA%26#39;s nationwide special is going to end on the 17th. I hope they run another before too long. I could book one way at $99, so total would be just over $400 for both of us. Just can%26#39;t do it, yet.

There really never is enough time to do all we plan for a trip, but that does leave a reason to return (like I need one.) One day we will be there at the same time and finally get to meet.
