Bottle Service Minimum??

I am coming the first weekend in June for a bachelorette party. The bride-to-be really wants to go to Tao on Friday night and Moon on Sat night. We have been checking into bottle/table service. For Tao on Friday night for 5 girls, there is a 2 bottle minimum. There is no way we will drink this. Any suggestions or advice on what to do? We still want to go but I hear if you don%26#39;t have a table then there is no where to sit or rest from dancing.

HELP?????

I havent been to Tao but call them and speak to the person in charge of the bottle/service or club. They want a bunch of girls to go to the club so they will put you on the VIP list so you dont have to wait in line. Second, decide if you really want to sit... if you arent going to go there till midnight then you might not care about the vip area. You all will be having so much fun and probably wont want to sit anyway. If you want to go early and stay all night then you might just wanna get bottle service... besides... maybe you will drink all of it!

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I guess it does depend on how long we are going to be there as to whether we would drink 2 bottles. I know we have dinner reservations at Mix that night and then were hoping to go to Tao and another club that night.

If you end up buying drinks individually it might be worth your money to get table service (drinks are pricey--around $15 ea. mixed drink...haven%26#39;t been to Tao, but have been to Tryst, Jet and Rum Jungle and if you%26#39;re drinking it adds up quick). Also, try getting on the list so you don%26#39;t have to wait in line, and then chances are you%26#39;ll find some guys with table service who will let you share a table (esp. with a bachelorette party :-)

Tao may also have the option of sitting in the lounge area, which I believe has a lower bottle minimum than the dance floor area. I think bottle service is a good idea if you want to sit down, as it will not be possible in any of these clubs without bottle service. If you are thinking of going to more than one club, though, bottle service may not be the best choice.

Okay, so other than emailing their websites and myspace pages, what other ways can we get on the VIP lists?
