lions?

as for the security reason for the lions i was under the impression that is what the guards are for and the cctv????

I do feel very strongly about this and am greatful for all the information given.....Although i understand the need for preservation i dont see why these animals should be carted back and forth in my opinion for entertainment!!!

Thanks again guys...

lions?

I don%26#39;t like all the lions either. You wait in lions at the bufffet. You wait in lions to check in. You wait in lions at the airport. Too many lions not enough tioms.

lions?

If you feel so strongly about the lions being help captive in the M.G.M,you can always vote with your wallet, cancel your reservation, book another hotel not in the M.G.M. chain and vow not to spend or gamble a penny in any of their properties.Problem solved and your beliefs upheld.

They are there and there is nothing you can about it.

God give me the strenght to change the things I can

The serenity to accept the things I cant,

And the wisdom to know the difference

You could always have posted this on top of your other thread (actually it would have gone to the bottom of the thread) by clicking on the ';Reply to this post'; button, instead of the ';Start a new topic'; button.

Make sure when you cancel your reservation you mention it is because you are against their policy of keeping captive bred animals on display. And when you are gambling at a non-MGM casino, make sure you announce loudly with each dollar you spend ';Free the lions';.

Why have we started another ';lions'; post??

If you don%26#39;t like the lions you either don%26#39;t stay at the MGM, or don%26#39;t look at them as you walk by.

I bet if you actually went there and saw them lounging around, looking happy, contented and well fed that you%26#39;d change your mind. I imagine that you%26#39;re thinking the lions are kept in a cage - they%26#39;re not. The enclosure they%26#39;re in at the MGM is fantastic and when they are not at the MGM:

Quote

';The lions live in custom accommodations on an 8.5-acre ranch 12 miles from the MGM Grand. They are owned and cared for by noted feline expert Keith Evans, who has been training exotic animals for more than 30 years';.

If you go mid-week, the lions aren%26#39;t as bad as during the weeknd.

Here%26#39;s a link. Check out the video if you have concerns.

The security comments were jokes.

';I bet if you actually went there and saw them lounging around, looking happy, contented and well fed that you%26#39;d change your mind.'; I agree totally. They%26#39;re always either playing or napping. I wish I had that kind of life! I love the lions. We always stop and watch for a few minutes. None of them have ever looked unhappy. The habitat is very large, bigger than a lot of zoo enclosures I have seen. At least they%26#39;re not out in the heat like the Secret Garden animals are.

Has anyone seen the new MGM promo for Lion%26#39;s Poker?

Wednesdays in the cage, bluffing strongly discouraged.

ok guys get the message...lol....new to trip advisor so that is why i started a new topic.....didnt actually book mgm...thank god....just putting out feelers.....having trouble getting direct flights from manchester at a decent price as yet......

If the lions were not treated to the nicest suite on the strip, you%26#39;d have to crawl over the chanting, sign toting PETAs in front of the MGM.

Instead...they are stalking J Lo%26#39;s fur.
