NYNY or MGM Grand? Please Help?

I currently have reservations to stay at the NYNY. It%26#39;s my first trip to Vegas. I just checked the MGM and I can get a King Grand Tower room for about the same price at the NYNY. Which is better? Which location is better?

Location is the same.. I think NYNY takes the vibe/nightlife advantage of the two by just a bit. MGM offers no roller coaster noise being a threat, but it%26#39;s HUGE! MGM does have good eats and probably has the edge there, but realize that you are close to lots of dining options. I would say that if the pool is important, stay at MGM. If nightlife and young vibe is your thing, stay at NYNY. I would stay at either if I got just an incredible rate. I now stay with Mirage as they are seeming to want to comp us, but would stay at those other two if the comps were offered there. Hope that thoroughly confused you! :-)

Location: across the street from each other, with a walkway from one to the other

MGM - has monorail stop, more restaurants and better pool

I would pick MGM , both are nice

i would stay at MGM for the room and the pool. you can always eat and play at NYNY... it%26#39;s an easy walk via an elevated walkway between the two. i would say that the locations are about the same. NYNY is close to excalibur, MGM is close to tropicana... both lower budget places.

I prefer NYNY. The time I stayed at MGM, kept wishing I was at NYNY. The vibe is better to me, and the table limits are lower and they will rate you on a $5 game there.

If I were obssessed about a great pool scemne, it would be MGM. The pool at NYNY and 3 jacuzzis are fine for me. But MGM obviously has 4 more pools and a lazy river.

MGM! Yes it%26#39;s big, but I didn%26#39;t have a problem getting around. I know some people do and I was surprised by that after my stay there. They have signs and it wasn%26#39;t nearly as big as I imagined. Very nice hotel!

Sounds like you could justify either one, and probably have an enjoyable stay at both. I think that the fact that they are always close in pricing denotes that they are very comparable properties. I don%26#39;t think you can go wrong here, but it%26#39;s just a matter of balancing which advantages to each property suit your personal tastes in a resort. It%26#39;s all better than the no-tell Motel that cost $20 on prom night! :-)

I would (and do) choose MGM over NYNY. Previous posters have already told you . . . they%26#39;re right across LV Blvd from each other. There is a walkway connecting the two.

NYNY is a busy, busy casino. Even though MGM is much larger, I think it%26#39;s actually easier to navigate than NYNY . . . I often get turned around in there!

It%26#39;s hard to beat the MGM pool . . . fabulous!

btw, the mgm grand tower rooms are 446 sq ft. nyny rooms range from 300 to 400 sq ft unless you are getting a spa deluxe room or better.
