Bally's trip report 5/5-5/8 pt. 3

Sorry everyone for the long pause, but DH bought a Harley over the weekend and every moment has been spent doing Harley things!

Back to Bally%26#39;s. Monday morning...Hubby had a dinner meeting and after they were going to Penn and Teller, so I begged off because I had another adventure in mind. I was going to go see Menopause, The Musical. Yep, I caught the monorail down to LV Hilton around noon to pick up a ticket and wouldn%26#39;t you know....I had to go through the casino at the LVH to get to the ticket booth. Out of the corner of my eye, I see lights flashing and hear Rod Serling talking about time, space, and I hear the Twilight Zone song...dodododo! The 6 slot machines beckoned to me as I pulled a $20 out of my wallet. What would it hurt? I figured I%26#39;d throw away a quick buck and then go get my tickets. 3 Hours later I%26#39;m still playing on that same $20.

All of the sudden, some really nice man named Bill that had on a LVH badge approached me and said he had noticed that I%26#39;d been playing for a really long time and I didn%26#39;t have a players card. He sat right down and signed me up for a card and then comped me 2 buffets since it was his fault that he hadn%26#39;t noticed that I was without a card. NICE! Now I rush out to get my ticket and go back to Bally%26#39;s to change and come back by 6:00. By this time I had perfected the 3 point turn inside the elevator at the monorail.

Menopause was hysterical. I highly recommend this to anyone who has or has had hot flashes. All the songs are oldies with the lyrics changed to describe menopausal conditions. My favorite was Puff, my a@* is draggin! If you%26#39;ve seen it, there is one scene where one of the older ladies is trying on lingerie and pops out of the dressing room looking like Tina Turner in Tiny Dancer. I laughed so hard, I spit my gum out and it flew over 2 rows. Highly entertaining!

After the show, I hit Twilight Zone and won $203 on a $20 investment and then I put $5 in the Wheel of Fortune(The big one),

and won $200 more. I LOVE LVH casino. By this time, DH was blowing up my phone(back from P%26amp;T) wanting to know why I wouldn%26#39;t come back to Bally%26#39;s. So, I took the monorail and back I went.

Did I mention that I hardly ever found time to eat? One thing I learned on this trip is that you HAVE to consciously think to eat. I also learned that Bally%26#39;s room service ends at midnight and no other restaurants are open that late. Luckily I had brought a couple of cup-o-soups and used my tea kettle to boil water for them.

Tomorrow....Price is Right and Downtown!

Congrats on the wins. Thanks for the report. Menopause may just be the show for me and my mom to see, sounds llike a hoot.

I like how ';Bill'; said it was HIS fault that you didn%26#39;t have a card, lol!

Isn%26#39;t it great to go in, watch a show, then laugh so hard it hurts?! You can always buy more gum.

Wow, nice couple of wins! $5 for $200, and $203 for $20!!!! Nice!

Your trip sounds like sooooo much fun!! LOL at your antics!

You are funny...lol about the gum...

Tx4ever,

You are so right, I am so busy playing slots and visiting other hotels I have to remind myself to eat. Last year when I stayed at the stardust, I kept forgetting and had to run next door to McDonalds for something to eat, as by the time I remembered everything was closed. Menopause sounds like it was a great show. I am going to celebrate my 50th birthday and leave on Monday. Were the tickets expensive, if you don%26#39;t mind me asking.

Tickets to Menopause were $59 I think. I guess that%26#39;s cheap in comparison to some shows in Vegas. It%26#39;s in the Jubilee theatre at LVH and the theatre is quite small, so get there early for a good seat because it%26#39;s open seating. I%26#39;m 52 and I could really relate to the women in the show. I still laugh every now and then just thinking about it.
