Luxor.... info please

Will be staying at the Luxor from June 2-5... not real excited due to the reviews on TA but am going with some girlfriends as a last minute trip and they already have it booked. They have not been to LV before but I have been a half dozen times or so. Anyway, any tips on making the Luxor experience more enjoyable?

Luxor.... info please

Try to get a room in the newer ';west tower?'; As those rooms are much nicer.

The place is OK. Casino is big and lots of table games offered...Restaurants stink in general so i would eat somewhere else. Pool is good, so you couls do worse than this place. Just get drunk and have fun.

Luxor.... info please

Mandalay Bay is supposed to have a good breakfast buffet with shorter lines.

NYNY and MGM have some good restaurants and bars.

If you do get a room in the Pyramid, don%26#39;t hit your head on the slanted windows. And don%26#39;t look over the balcony up to the room if you get vertigo!

Otherwise it%26#39;s wonderful! =)

If you are in the pyramid, close the curtains during the day to keep the room a bit cooler (A lot of the TA reviews complain the room is hot -- it is a big black glass pyramid, after all!).

A spa room in the pyramid takes away all the aches and pains from the ridiculous amount of walking you will do. We had a blast at Luxor last year. Room was big and very clean. Have fun!

Layla, This will be our third time to Luxor. We really enjoy it. We get a cabana for the day and just relax by the pool. It is so much fun. I just love the feel of Luxor. We usually stay in the tower. The people there are so friendly. Enjoy yourself.

I enjoy sitting and having a drink at La Salsa which is up near the rides, being inside the Luxor Atrium is actually pretty relaxing.

Wife and I have stayed a Luxor a number of times. Always have a good time. Only down side is the lack of places to eat. However NYNY, MGM and MB are all easily reached. Prefer to stay in the tower rooms ourselves.

I echo the tip about the Mandalay Bay buffet. You can usually enjoy free live music in the evenings at Nefertiti%26#39;s Lounge. The small nightclub at Luxor used to be a lot of fun but I know they closed it and it%26#39;s probably something else now.

Be aware that the MB-Luxor-Excal tram only stops at Luxor going one way, and not going the other way. But you can easily walk to either property through the indoor passageways - much faster, actually.
